Tirador Gopher Armstrong

Poferio Tirador "Gopher" Armstrong, 1935-2010
This picture (June, 2007) was contributed by an individual who visits Gopher on a regular basis at the Veteran's home in Clinton, OK. It is reprinted here with Gopher's permission. The back of the painting above has "Tirador Gopher Armstrong" written in cursive, and he is listed in Lester's Biographical Directory of Native American Painters as "Tirador", but Gopher says his name is Theodore. Sadly, Gopher passed away on March 17th, 2010 at the Veteran's Home in Clinton, OK.
